The past few issues we have brought you a lot of content from various countries, particularly in Europe. Although it’s always fun to cover whats going on in the other parts of the world, it’s nice to sometimes hit somewhere closer to home. With this issue we’d like to bring something a little different to the table. This is not the typical car feature. Although the Subaru you see before you is stunningly beautiful, with a list of modifications that appeal to about anyone, I’d first like to go more into the man behind the car.

Tim Durnak, from New Jersey, not only has one hell of a WRX, He’s also the founder and owner of Diamond Vinyl. For those who haven’t ever looked into vinyl wrapping it’s a way of changing your “paint” without the need of sanding, mixing, clear coating, and all that other tedious nonsense that autobody requires. With thousands of options to choose from and full customization it’s a great way to quickly change the color or design of a car. The end result is limitless.
Tim has already done several S-chassis drift rigs and other vehicles in the past several months. He also does vinyl cut stickers and has a few other services as well. If you find yourself near South Plainfield, New Jersey, It may be advantageous to get in contact with him to have some work done. He also does custom designs. So if you have an idea or design you would like cut be sure to check it out. Even if you don’t live near there check out his Facebook page and website or follow him on Instagram to see what he’s capable of. You can find his information below after the modification list of this WRX.
Before this beast Tim owned a 2009 WRX with a lot of problems. But although he swore to never get another Subaru, he saw this one and just couldn’t resist the temptation. Since he bought it, it has gone through three different build stages. But Tim says this last one is his favorite. He threw away his habits of coilovers and decided to try the air ride set up. On top of that he bought all sorts of goodies to make it look real savage including a custom diffuser.
To think that Tim still has plans to completely change this is madness. However coming up it’s getting a full vinyl wrap and whole lot more. The end result is top secret but if you’d like to see it Tim will be bringing it to several shows around his area. Wekfest, Import Expo, and a drift event at Limrock In New Jersey are a few in the near future where you can find him.
