Honda’s have been around for a while and the civic is no stranger to the people in the car world. It was popular when I was a kid, then when I was a teen and now as I am an adult. In the beginning everyone wanted a civic because they were the cheapest to buy and the easiest to hook up. Something breaks on it, don’t sweat, go to your local car shop, get the part and YouTube how to fix it. Today I bring to you my faithful Happy stance reader’s an awesome Honda owner, William Kelsey from Big Bear California. Like many of us William’s first car was a 1997 Honda civic, which you would think would be kinda strange for a guy raised around and by a family that owned muscle cars. But William said at even a young age he knew he would be going a different route than muscle cars. I believe he got this from his cousin Joe “Backyard” Schneider which owned a Honda Crx when William was younger, William thought it was one of the coolest cars ever so I definitely see where he got his love for Hondas.

Some car enthusiasts are born to love cars and others get sucked into this black hole later in life. There is no right or wrong time; there is no penalty the newbies receive because they have not been in the game as long as others. We live and breathe our cars and honestly even though I was born into a car lovers home I really admire the newbies. The usually enter into this crazy, obsessive lifestyle in after high school, they don’t know a darn thing about cars except for maybe they look “pretty” but they overcome that challenge.
